Chapter 4.86 – 💜A Purple Wedding💜

Purple’s upstairs room, one month later….

Cassie snuck out to the upstairs room at Purple to check everything out and just breathe. It was perfectly purple, just like the shoes she wore beneath the white dress that cleverly disguised her tiny baby bump. At 4 months, and carrying twins, she was already showing and although most people wouldn’t notice, she didn’t want her pregnancy to overshadow her wedding day. She absently reached up and fingered the gold chain around her neck, knowing her sister would be watching from Heaven as she married the man that brought joy back to her life; the father of the babies growing in her womb. Alex would love Cris and be thrilled she was having twins. Her hand moved down to the hard little bump just below her waistline as it often did when she thought about her and Cris’ babies.

“There you are,” came the soft husky voice of her father, “are you okay?” he asked looking at her rubbing her belly.

Cassie smiled a sad little smile. ”Yes, just thinking about Alex and how happy she’d be.”

”She would,” he agreed, his voice thick with emotion, ”you’re beautiful Cassie, my little girl has grown into a strong and amazing woman, I’m very proud of you and your mom and I love you very much.”

“Thank you Daddy,” she said swallowing down the lump in her throat, ”I love you too, but we need to go before I lose it.”

Music began to play through the speakers before she finished speaking. ”There’s our cue baby” he said softly, holding out his arm for her to take.

First dance as husband and wife while the men hold up the emotional mother’s of the couple. Since Mrs. Braga is a widow, Walker hugs her and of course Evan is always by Reagan’s side.
